Minimum mandatory auto insurance in Indiana
Car insurance minimums typically provide enough coverage to help pay liability claims related to others’ accident-related injuries and property damages. The following are your state’s minimum coverages:
Bodily injury coverage: Accident-related financial losses associated with injuries you cause to others.
- $25,000 bodily injury liability for one person per accident (Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 2022).
- $50,000 for two or more people per accident (Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 2022).
Property damage coverage: Costs associated with property damages for which you are held liable.
- $25,000 property damage liability per accident (Bureau of Motor Vehicles, 2022).
